Biography
Barbara began her artistic journey as a student of classical ballet and was mentored by the late Robert Joffrey and later worked with his company in Chicago and attended classes at the contemporary Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. While chasing her dream of dance, she attended Northwestern University and later transferred to the business school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she earned a BA. Subsequently she earned a JD from the University of Texas; an LLM from New York University: and an MBA from the INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
She has studied fine arts at the National Academy of Design; the School of Visual Arts; the New York Academy; Cooper Union and the Silvermine School of Art.
Barbara is an invited member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, the North East Watercolor Society (signature member); the National Association of Women Artists, and the National Arts Club (invited Exhibiting Member), NYC; Connecticut Women Artists and the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. She is an award winning attendee of the annual Westport Arts Festival in Westport, Ct. Her work was recently recognized by Art Saves Humanity, curated by Jerry Saltz of New York Magazine to create awareness of art in the current pandemic and as an invitee of the Allied Artists of America 107th Annual Exhibition. Her work is in private collections throughout the country including California, Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Nevada, New York, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin. Barbara is currenlty exhibiting at Stola Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL.
